The current version 5.1 of the Ecoplanning software allows 4 successive steps to a global solution

With a single screen, users will be able to enter all the data for the tasks of a project, or even take over the data in CSV from an estimate, to avoid at least retrieving the designation of the tasks.
For a project, a visual scheduling is carried out, from 3 types of task links in order to know for all modifications of the current task: its critical path, its deadline, the consequences on the other tasks.
The user knows for each of the tasks in progress its most constraining "predecessor" in the predecessor tab.
From the tasks in progress, we can refine the schedule deadline.
He will be able to make corrections, which will facilitate the development of the project to meet the objectives.
For the tasks already entered, with the command, located at the bottom of the screen, the critical path is displayed. We know the project deadline, we can print this schedule.
3th Choose from around thirty memorized planning visualizations
Those that correspond to the needs, in particular summary and partial schedules. We obtain schedules on one page from A4 to A0 format depending on the number of tasks and the project deadline. For projects with many tasks, you can view them on the same line.
4th Choose the memorized schedule that corresponds to the needs
In the menu, choose "Current planning" to view this screen. Then on the “Schedule preparation” option to access the dialog box of the “Schedule settings and printing” screen. Choose from the list of about thirty memorized schedules the one that suits the needs of the project.
Setting up schedules on a page
As soon as you have clicked on the "Apply schedule" command on the screen, from the reduced schedules, in portrait or landscape (with the zoom) you refine the schedule output on one page.
To configure the full page of the project, we use the command “ Description body » located on the right at the bottom of the screen to display the selected memorized view of the project schedule on a full page.

Creation and assignment of selection criteria to each of the project tasks
A solution that is comparable to the VBS OBS RBS approach. This is one of the specificities of the Ecoplanning software, which makes it possible to assign 4 hierarchical criteria to each of the project's tasks (Phases, Interveners, Tris, Resources) and on 3 levels. This makes it possible to create sorting/grouping and filters and consequently the creation of about thirty visualizations of stored schedules (you can create new ones).
Users can, after ordering their project, choose the visualizations of their schedules that correspond to their needs, partial or summary schedules.
For your project you will choose the codes to select and distribute the tasks in the bands of the project.
To create an N-1 Criterion, click at the intersection of the “Phase” row and the N-1 criterion column.
The same procedure is used to create the 4 hierarchical criteria as well as for the levels (N-1 N-.2 N-3).
The user ticks those concerned in the list of tasks and assigns them their code with the desired hierarchy: for example the phase strips inside the intervening strips, or the opposite.
The simulation approach to meet the objectives of a project
It is an interesting achievable approach in terms of the development and readjustment of a schedule within a deadline to be respected. Its characteristic parts (identifiable by all interested parties) are determined.
At the start, we draw up a schedule for a type of project with tasks of normal duration.
As with the cost ratios, we compress or expand the parts of the project to meet the objectives. The durations of the tasks of these parts will be determined by homothety.
Example of a simulation of a small network of tasks. With the simulator: – we increase the 1time part of 10 to 20 days, – we reduce the 2th part from 20 to 10 days, – we increase the 3th part of 10 to 20 days.
Given the ease of carrying out a simulation, for the same project, several simulations can be carried out after examination, in order to choose the best option.
Cascading copy of a network of tasks in a project
This approach of the Ecoplanning software facilitates the entry and scheduling of networks of identical tasks. (Example the floors of a building, a group of pavilions).
When copying a network of tasks, those of the new network will have the same data.
In addition, identical tasks will be linked together. Successively, one can copy the same network of tasks for the elaboration of a project.
This makes it possible to visualize the critical path of these networks.
We can perform the smoothing of other tasks
The presentation of the condensed schedule of identical tasks by bands, with one task per line, facilitates the smoothing of the resources of the critical tasks then of the others.
Use of videos
In the presentation notes of the Ecoplanning software, videos are accessible from QR codes and this to facilitate users. During the development of their project on PC, they will be able to consult in parallel, the steps to be carried out, by viewing the corresponding videos on their Smartphone.
